Tall Ship Antigua and Tall Ship Atlantis are currently part of the fleet of Tallship Company. Jan Bruinsma (1957) is CEO and founder of this Dutch shipping company. Tallship Company was founded 1990, by building the classical three-masted sailing vessel Elizabeth. Topsail schooner Mare Frisium and barque Artemis were build by the shipping company in 1996 and 2001 respectively. With the purchase of the Atlantis and Antigua in 2005, the fleet was complete.

The ships are now sailing the European waters during the sailing season. During the winter there is always extensive maintenance by or under supervision of Jan Bruinsma. He knows his ships ‘from keel to mast and from bowsprit to rudder’.
